Rando

Due to a lack of anything better to post about (it’s in the works, just not super exciting to talk about without pictures), here’s an iPhone dump of recent events.

Sean’s Grandma asked a while ago what kind of quilt we’d like if we’d like one and I said “something with trees on it.” She then scoured the Internet for ideas and inspiration and came back with a pattern that I loved. Two weeks ago, we drove to Paris to buy the fabric for it. When she emailed last week to say I should come by and see the tree she had ready, I was expecting one tree but she’s done a ton of work on it already and it’s beauuuuuuuuutiful!

Check out the bark-y fabric she found to use on the trunks…

I am so so so in love with it already.

Next topic! A few weekends ago we did our annual February bowl-a-thon at Martin’s Bowling. You can rent that joint out cheap and bowl to your heart’s content – just like Mike here!

And finally, this JUST happened this week and it’s probably one of the best things to ever happen to me (besides husky snowfall). As I was walking out of Mulberry, I passed the counter where the barista was finishing up laying out dough for a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I asked if I could just buy the dough and bypass the baking process even though I figured we would laugh and she would think I was gross and I would leave, unfulfilled. HOWEVER, because the chunk left in her hand was too small to make a properly sized cookie, she gave me the chunk!

It’s half gone here but you get the idea. Dream dessert! Can you believe it? Maybe you can. I can’t. If you want to know the way to my heart, it’s dogs and dessert.
